Corn on the cob is a relative of the wheat family, yet at the same time it is a vegetable. Corn is a healthy alternative to other snack foods, and it is relatively easy to fix up. Just follow this quick guide and be on your way to some great eating! Add butter, and seasoning to further enhance the flavoring.
Prep Time : 10 Minutes
Cook Time : 30 Minutes
Ready in : 40 Minutes
Ingredients
6 ears corn
6 tablespoons butter, softened
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.
Peel back corn husks and remove silk. Place 1 tablespoon butter, salt and pepper on each piece of corn. Close husks.
Wrap each ear of corn tightly in aluminum foil. Place on the prepared grill. Cook approximately 30 minutes, turning occasionally, until corn is tender.
What kind of seasoning? I just had corn or cobb(can't remember the name) salad for the first time last week and it was delicious. Yum corn!
ReplyDeleteHi, Melyssah. The seasonings that come to mind when I think of corn on the cob is black pepper. It is not too spicy and adds an additional kick that black pepper-less corn on the cob sorely lacks. Also salt is another additive that I suggest you consider. I usually prefer one over the other and rarely both being that salt and black black pepper may overpower the taste of the corn, and we don't want that! Also, don't forget to add butter.
